Scarpetta Brunch by Ella Titus

Recently one of my favorite restaurants on Miami Beach, Scarpetta by Scott Conant at the Fontainebleau, opened a new Sunday buffet-style brunch. Personally, brunch is my favorite meal because it’s acceptable to pretty much eat whatever you want. Eggs? Of course. Stone Crabs? Yup. Lava cake? Hell yeah.

I’ve blogged about my dinner experience here before, but this was my first time trying their new brunch. If you want a recap on my dinner click here. Scarpetta brunch is open on Sunday’s from 11:30 to 3:00. Each guest begins with an Aperol Gin Spritz followed by a chilled seafood station, salad station, Timpano station, frittata station, dessert station, and cured meats and cheeses. I’m still day-dreaming about those stations today. From the seafood station I would recommend the stone crabs and oysters for sure. Yum!

Guests can choose between a selection of delicious entrees. We picked Lobster Benedict (on the left) and the Filet Mignon (on the right). Steak is probably my favorite food (besides ice cream obviously), and this filet was incredible complete with asparagus and béarnaise. Along with the entrees you can pick, Scarpetta’s famous Spaghetti and Duck & Foie Gras Ravioli are served family style to everyone. This is the best spaghetti you might ever have…and I take my pasta very seriously!

The dessert bar was heavenly. You all know I have quite a sweet tooth, so I was very happy choosing my treats. I would definitely try the tiramisu (on the left), red colored cream puff, and mango tart. Honestly every dessert was worth the calories!

Not only do I rate the food a solid 10/10, but the atmosphere and view truly make this the perfect Miami brunch experience. Our view from our table was of one of Fontainebleau’s pools and the gorgeous ocean. Tip: get there early to snag a good spot overlooking the water or make a reservation ahead of time. This new popular brunch is definitely one to try! This could be a romantic Valentine’s Day weekend date idea for you and your “bae.” So many options means that I will be making a trip back soon!
